Chatroom Rules

  Thank You for Joining Empower Trading Chatroom 

  In order to maintain a positive and supportive learning community, please be mindful of the following rules:

  1. Be Polite. Do not use words that are graphic, demeaning, offensive, inappropriate or sexually suggestive. Do not use abusive language including but not limited to harassing, profanity, intimidating, or threatening. Please report or alert if anyone violates this rule by sending a private message to our admin. Do not respond or contact that member.
  2. Be Respectful. Do not share information of our members or posts from the chat group.  We welcome and support a positive learning environment, and request that all members to treat everyone with mutual respect. We  reserve the right to remove any posting that is inappropriate or offensive, that attacks another member, advertises or endorses a person, product, or service. 
  3. Use CAPS only when alerting or posting on a particular ticker. Do not use CAPS to post on anything else.
  4. No External Advertisement or Recruitment. No external advertisements are allowed in the any of the channels.  These including but not limited to YouTube Videos and websites. Only websites relating to trading companies are allowed. Websites must be from primary sources. No recruitment of members to other group or services is allowed. These including but not limited to sending private message to members or posting in any of our channels promoting or inviting members to join another services, products, or group.
  5. Members are not investors: The chat room is not intended for in-depth due diligence on trading tickers. Information including alerts, comments, or any posts should be evaluated carefully for accuracy and trading decisions should be based on your own due diligence.
  6. No pumping or bashing on trading tickers or companies. Please limit to facts with supporting evidence or suggest it's an opinion. 
  7. Provide alerts with a reason. Share alerts with reasons and supporting evidence from primary sources, especially if the alerts are facts that have a high impact on the price movement such as an offering or Reverse split. For example, "ABC broke current support". Don't just type "ABC", instead type "ABC is moving up/down". Don't just type "ABC offering" without supporting link from primary source. Don't just type "ABC $2.10", instead type "ABC new low/high at $2.10". Avoid typing "ABC will run, ABC will fly to the moon, ABC will explode, ABC will pop" without supporting evidence from primary sources. Avoid "buy now, ABC will make you rich" without supporting evidence from primary source. Do not post such descriptive alerts without posting the official supporting evidence, not from rumors or other third party sources. This also applies to other descriptive alerts that potentially have a high impact on the price share movement. Members violating this rule will be immediately removed from the channel until after closing bell .  
  8. No questions. One of our goals is to minimize risks. One of the ways to minimize risks is to reduce distractions. One of the ways to reduce distractions is to minimize questions during trading hours. Please limit questions during trading hours to channel 14_questions_brainstorm_chat and NOT in channel 01_momentum_chat and channel 02_swing_chat.
  9. Admin role. Unless you are an admin with admin authorized role, members are not allowed to kick/add/remove any other members. Violating this rule will result in immediate removal from channels and further subsequent as stated in our Chatroom violations section.
  10. Chatroom violations. Any members violating our channel rules or any members with multiple reminders by our Admin during trading hours will be subjected to temporary removal from that channel. Significant abuses have high risk to be removed from all channels and potentially lead to banning from the chatroom including but not limited to: pumping, spamming, violating any of the previous rules. We reserve the right to remove any member including memberships  information who violates our rules at anytime without prior notice and provide no refund on the current subscription. Member subscription will be canceled on further billing cycles.
  11. Stay ON Topic. There are currently 23 channels. You will automatically be in the default channel 9_hangout_chat after you successfully complete your membership registration. You will be added to all private channels within 24 hours. Please contact Admin if you do not see all 23 channels after 24 hours of signup.  Below are channels reserved for different topics.  In order to enhance channels efficiency and effectiveness, please be mindful of the following formats:  "ALERT" CHANNELS are reserved for alerts ONLY with the following format: "TICKERS at PRICE" . For any necessary COMMENTS, please use the "reply" option on that particular ticker. "CHAT CHANNELS" are reserved for sharing posts, no links allowed in any alert or chat channels.  Please review each channel careful and share your posts accordingly in the next section. 
  12. We reserved the right: We shall have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor the content of the chatroom to determine compliance with all sections of the agreement and any other operating rules established. We shall have the right in our sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, remove, or otherwise alter any material submitted to or posted on the chats. We shall have the right to remove any material that we, in our sole discretion, find to be in violation of this agreement or inappropriate for any reason whatever without consent. We further reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove a user's privilege to post content in our chat group. Suspended members who re-register with new accounts will have those accounts deactivated without notice. We reserved the right to refuse or remove members at anytime if we deemed members are making false claims, insult or defame members' posts.
